North NJ –
You have learned a fair amount of Spanish vocabulary, you are able to speak in basic sentences and you are beginning to understand others when they speak. What’s the next step in your Spanish journey? A real conversation, that’s what!
In the spring I will be offering Spanish Conversation Circles to my adult students or anyone who wishes to participate. The Conversation Circles will be on a drop-in basis ($10 per class) and will be unstructured conversation. What I mean by unstructured is that, unlike my classes which move in a planned sequence, the conversation will not have a plan, but will develop from whatever comes up in the conversation, or whatever those present wish to cover.
What level of Spanish are the Conversation Circles for?
We will have two levels to begin with: Beginners and Intermediate/Advanced. The Beginners group (for Spanish 1 + 2 levels) will meet generally on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month, and the Intermediate/Advanced group (for Spanish 3+ levels) will meet generally on the 1st and 3rd Mondays. We will meet at Frank’s Pizza, 14 Eisenhower Parkway in Roseland, NJ. from 7:00-8:30 PM. It is a quiet restaurant where the waiters and other workers speak to us in Spanish.
How do I get notifications of Spanish Conversation Circle dates?
Follow my blog to get dates.
By “following” my blog, you will receive my posts, via email, with dates for the Spanish Conversation Circles. Find the follow button on the bottom right side of this blog. Don’t worry, I am not planning to write hundred of posts. I know everyone is already overwhelmed with the numbers of emails they receive. The posts will be to announce dates of the Spanish Conversation Circles.
Join us! Conversation Circles are a lot of fun and a very effective way to learn!
How do I RSVP for a Conversation Circle?
You can RSVP for any scheduled Conversation Circle by sending me an email at pfressidrobo@hotmail.com or filling out the contact form below the announcement for that date. Please RSVP as early as possible or no later than the Sunday before the class, by 10:00 PM. A class may be cancelled if we don’t have a minimum of 4 participants. In such a case, I will notify all those who RSVP’d by Monday morning at 9:00 AM, so please check your email before coming. I like at least 4 people in the class so the conversation flows and no one feels under pressure to speak for the whole hour and a half!
